Tuesday, August 10
A Perkiomen Motorcoach will transfer us from Pennsburg to the Airport for our flight to Fairbanks, Alaska. Upon arrival in Fairbanks, we will be transferred directly to our hotel where we’ll meet our Tour Director. The evening will be free to spend at our leisure.
Wednesday, August 11
Today we’ll see a bush pilot demonstration, pet a sled dog and tour a native village on a riverboat cruise. Dredging for gold will add to our Alaskan experience. L
Thursday, August 12
Getting to Denali is unforgettable aboard the McKinley Explorer domed railcars. Gracious service and nonstop adventure continue at your Denali Lodge.
Friday, August 13
Today, you’ll surround yourself with wildlife and Mt. McKinley viewpoints on a Tundra Wilderness Tour.
Saturday, August 14
Indulge all your senses on a magical rail journey through untouched wilderness aboard the McKinley Explorer on your way to Anchorage. You’ll soak up “big city Alaska” as you spend your evening in Anchorage.
Sunday, August 15
Enjoy a spectacular drive along the historic Seward Highway. Mountains, rivers and wildlife habitat pass by your motorcoach window. Say “good-bye” to your Tour Director and have lunch aboard your cruise ship, Holland America’s Statendam, your home for the 7 night Voyage of the Glaciers. You can spend the afternoon in Seward before sailing this evening. D
Monday, August 16
Our first day at sea, we’ll be treated to the majestic views of either College Fjord or Hubbard Glacier. B, L, D
Tuesday, August 17
Get your cameras ready! Today we will either enjoy the towering glaciers of Glacier Bay or explore the seaside community of Sitka. Considered to be the most beautiful of southeast Alaska cities, Sitka is nestled on the west side of Baranof Island. B, L, D
Wednesday, August 18
This morning our ship will port in Haines before heading to Skagway, or will go directly to Skagway. Haines is everything you dreamed Alaska would be. You’ll find yourself surrounded by pristine beauty and abundant wildlife. Skagway was the gateway to the gold fields and memories of the gold rush are everywhere. Step back into history at the Trail of '98 Museum, sightsee along the White Pass Rail Route to the Yukon, or try sport fishing, mountain biking or flight seeing. B, L, D
Thursday, August 19
Juneau is not only the capital of the state of Alaska, but it is also a fascinating place to explore. Today we can go sightseeing, shop in town or choose from a wide array of optional shore excursions. B, L, D
Friday, August 20
Today we visit Ketchikan. Southeast Alaska's "First City", Ketchikan is as picturesque as they come. The town is built on piles out over the water and clings to the slopes of Deer Mountain. Native culture abounds at Saxman Village and Totem Bight State Park. B, L, D
Saturday, August 21
We will have a chance to explore The Statendam from top to bottom as we spend our last day cruising the scenic Inside Passage. B, L, D
Sunday, August 22
The morning sunrise will find us in Vancouver. We must say good-bye to the Statendam and transfer to the airport for our flight home where a Perkiomen Motorcoach will be waiting to take us back to Pennsburg. B
